Kerry Armstrong Yoga - Apply to Assist

It is my mission to empower others to reach for their highest potential through the teachings of yoga. A Kerry Armstrong Yoga Retreat provides a space for students to deepen their understanding of yoga, enrich their yoga practice, learn valuable tools that will empower them to live healthier, happier lives and most importantly let loose, relax and have FUN!

Thank you for your interest in assisting a KA Yoga Retreat. At this point in my life and career, I am looking to GROW my team and I want to grow it with like-minded individuals who are open to being a part of big things. I am in the business of transformation and helping others discover their highest potential. If you also love helping others, love watching them succeed and love being for others through service, then keep reading below.

Right now you may be contemplating assisting a 2020 Yoga Retreat. Here is what the position looks like on a daily basis. You will be both a participant and an assistant during the retreat. You can expect to practice yoga, meditate and have free time to relax and enjoy all that the land has to offer.

As an assistant you may be asked to help with the following:

  • Pre-Retreat Prep Work
  • Travel Logistics
  • Housing Logistics
  • Daily Roles – including yoga room set up and take down, hands-on assisting, clean up, sequence journaling, waiver completion, handling participant feedback forms, photography, etc.

During this week you will have access to behind the scenes knowledge that will give you tools to lead your own yoga retreat. This program is not a teacher training, you will not be receiving feedback on your teaching, your way of being in the classroom or receiving any one-on-one life coaching sessions. At times you may be asked to lead portions of a class, lead group extracurricular activities or teach private lessons.

This is a work-trade position, meaning in trade for your efforts in producing and executing the retreat as part of the team, you will be able to attend either retreat at a discounted rate of $1350. You will have pre-retreat tasks, onsite duties and daily team meetings. Typical team working hours are between 7am and 10pm. Assistants usually help with all morning and evening sessions. You will have free time in the afternoons and after the last session of the day is complete. On average, you will work approximately 4 hours per day and receive one full day off during the retreat week.

Assistants are responsible for their own airfare, ground transportation costs, hotel incidentals, any meals not included in retreat package, and any hotel costs before or after the retreat.

Now that you know the details, if you are still interested, which I HOPE YOU ARE, select which 2020 retreat you would like to apply for from the box below. There is a $35 application fee. Paying this fee does not guarantee you a spot on the assisting team. Once your application request has been gathered and you have chosen which retreat you would like to be considered for, you will then be sent an official application.
